Rather nauseatingly, I still don’t have record player in the place where I’m living. Not that I have my remaining records either, but still, it would be nice to be able to check out my haul of stuff from Brazil. To be honest, I could have made a case for buying hundreds more things than I did. But having just given away or sold a few hundred records (it’s true, I bought just under 300 back from the US with me), I wasn’t in a mood to acquire too many more. But old habits die hard. I listened to this in the store. A really interesting (to me, anyway!) Brazilian take on late 60s easy listening instrumental albums. It has some odd jazzy instrumentation, and features 'love is blue', 'don't sleep in the subway' and 'you only live twice', as well as a few Beatles numbers. I wish I had managed to find more records like this.

I have never heard of this artist, and was unable to dig up any information about the record. But I was able to listen to it in the shop where I bought it. Happily, it sounded superb - dark, jazzy, and rhythmical, with some cool vocals. The cover is a nice Command Records rip off.
