We made it to Sao Paulo, our final destination. I have been failing to find the Elis Regina box set and generally getting lost and overwhelmed by the size of this place.

Yesterday we flew about 4000 kilometres. Literally. Getting from Salvador to Foz Do Iguazu involved flying to both Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre, as it turned out.

It is seriously cold here. We got a really cool view coming in on the plane. That´s about the size of things for now…

Hello friends! Well, we have been in Brazil for a couple of weeks now, and have been having a really nice time. The climate is pretty amazing, and with all these sunny, 80 degree days, it’s hard to believe that it’s the Brazilian winter. We spent some time in Rio and a swishy old coastal resort a few hours away, Paraty. We are now up in Salvador de Bahia, which is has an incredible amount of old Portuguese colonial architecture. While we have both suffered from various ailments, we have managed to have a fun time.

I bought 3 used CDs in Rio, and a few 45s. I am being restrained until we are closer to the plane home…
