Claus Ogerman is such a good arranger that listening to records he has worked on causes me pain, such is the extent to which it puts me on edge. I’ve talked before about Joao Gilberto’s ‘Amoroso’. Today the one that’s getting me is Antonio Carlos Jobim’s Urubu from 1976.

I haven’t written here for a while. Why not? I’m not really sure. I haven’t bought many records in the last few months – a mixture of being poor and not really feeling like buying records so much. Also, having much more time to listen to the many records that I already own, and having the chance to rediscover records that have been sitting in my parents’ house for several years. Anyway, I’ll post again some time.
