I meant to say: we saw two films at the weekend. Raising Victor Vargas was very entertaining and rather touching, although I wanted to cringe at times (see it, and you’ll know what I mean). But it was great. The other movie was City of God, set in the favelas of Rio, Brazil. It was an amazing but extremely violent film. I was in a rather tense state after watching it, and I’m not sure if it has completely worn off even now. So anyway, I would recommend both films.
