Search on GEMM | | | Villa-Lobos was a Brazilian composer who lived from 1887 to 1959. I bought this disc because of the reputed influence of his work on Antonio Carlos Jobim. That influence comes across very clearly on this disc, which I enjoyed very much. As you might expect, the similarity between Jobim's work and that of Villa-Lobos lies in the layered chords used by each. |
