Post a comment Search on Ebay Search on GEMM | | This is a very common and very poor British charity shop record. The only passable track is 'popcorn', a quintessential moog track. This one has nice jerky drums. The overall sound of the album isn't too bad, but the people who put it out chose some terrible, terrible songs.
'Beautiful Sunday' reminds me of a bad 80s children's TV theme. 'Coconut' is unbearably twee, stereo effects and all. 'Sweetly and slowly' is unpleasant, with acoustic guitars. 'Taka Takata' is unpleasant, with a Latin-style beat.
'Horse Theme ('cheval')' has a punky, almost Joy Divison-style guitar opening that's kind of cool, but is then painful.
'Son of My Father' is painful, with a stomping beat and a nasty, nasty synth sound.
The promising-sounding 'Listening to Mozart' is painful. I'm someone who normally likes this kind of aberration of classical music, but even I can't stand this.
The other songs are 'song sung blue', 'chorus' and 'what's your name'. They're awful.
But if you need another version of 'popcorn', snap this up! |
