Post a comment Search on Ebay Search on GEMM | | Hmm, I just put this on. It sounds fun. I bought it almost entirely because of the cover, a picture of a couple on a horse, but which on my copy has been printed with the colors completely offset, adding a new meaning to the 'mexican trip' being portrayed. I'm thinking of Carlos Castenada and the psychedelic roots here. Anyway, according to a quick ebay search, most copies of this record had the colors printed normally, which seems odd (they're WAY off on my copy, and the effect is indeed rather trippy. The conducting and most of the compositions are by Don Ralke.
The music sounds rather ordinary. I admit to not having listened to it properly yet though. Most interesting so far is an almost hawaiian-sounding rendition of 'maria elena'. | Mystic Moods Orchestra recommendations at Musical Taste Ticket to Ride
