This is a late 70s release. I bought it because the track listing included some interesting-sounding tracks (e.g. 'verushka'), and in my head, I felt sure that I'd read that it was a disco release. So I was hoping for a kind of disco Mondo Morricone. I know that there was a disco version of 'Maddelena' out at around that time, although I've never heard it. Anyway, the LP, which is a Canadian issue, turns out to be just a compilation of tracks Mondo Morricone style tracks (I'm sure it was an inspiration for that compilation). In fact, many of the best tracks from Mondo Morricone are on it, along with a handful more, but since the titles are all in French, I didn't make the connection before I bought it.
