This surprised me. It's extremely good. It has been on my radar for a few years, but I never saw a copy in good enough condition to buy. The arrangements are by 'Richard Clements' (as opposed to the more famed Don Ralke, who did some of the earlier LPs). The track selection doesn't look that promising - mostly Beatles, with three tracks by the Bee Gees thrown in alongside the familiar sounding 'England Swings' (I think Dick Hyman also covered this one) and 'Love grows'.

Anyway, it's a very enjoyable album. In case you weren't aware, 'Mystic Moods Orchestra' was a vehicle for audiophile enthusiast Brad Miller to blend sound effects with easy listening music. He does it very well on this record, and I really like the arrangements. My favorite is 'Ticket to Ride', never one of my favorite Beatles numbers, but here it sounds great, with the mood completely modified, and some of the notes changed, too. The sound effects are a little over the top, but fun. It's a very groovy—if not quite funky— easy listening album.
