Search on GEMM | | I just listened to this album twice, all the way through, after an interval of probably a year. The production and sound are beautifully atmospheric, and the musical content is varied enough to make the album stand up to repeated listens. The first song, Holes, is remarkable, and probably the best song here, but there really isn't a poor one on the LP.
There's far, far more to say about this album than I have time for now, but suffice it to say, it is really one of the best pop albums of the last 10 years - more consistent than albums by people like spiritualized and stereolab, for example. | Mercury Rev recommendations at Musical Taste
