Search on GEMM | | | A surprisingly fun LP, the first I bought in Fields's '...and bongos' series. It's gentle stuff. I like the fact that one day I really felt like hearing a piano jazz version of 'moon of manakoora' with bongoes, and I was able to reach into my collection and find this. It also has a track called 'flamingo fantasy', supposedly a Fields original, but really a variation on one of my favorite standards, 'Flamingo' (I'm exceedingly partial to the Alvino Rey version of this song.) |
